ANTARO products are made to be used. This page explains how to look after them, what to expect from them over time, and where to get help if something is not right.

The Core Case

Cleaning

Remove your phone from the case first. Wipe the case with a soft cloth, lightly dampened with water. For marks that do not lift, add a small amount of mild soap, then wipe again with clean water and dry the case fully before putting your phone back in.

Avoid solvents, bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, polishes and abrasive cloths. They can dull the finish permanently.

Fitting and removing

Fit the case by seating one corner first, then working around the edge with steady pressure rather than force. To remove it, start at a bottom corner and ease the edge away from the phone before lifting. Taking it off from the middle of a long side puts unnecessary strain on the frame.

Charging

The Core Case has built-in magnetic alignment, so it is designed to be used with magnetic chargers and accessories without being removed. Keep the back of the case clear of cards, coins and other metal objects when charging, as anything between the case and the charger can interfere with alignment.

Everyday use

The frosted surface is chosen partly because it resists fingerprints better than a gloss finish. Carried in a pocket alongside dark denim, any case can pick up dye marks over time; on this finish they lift with a damp cloth and mild soap.

What to expect over time

A case that is used every day will show that it has been used. Slight softening of the finish at the corners and along the edges, where the case is handled most, is normal and not a fault.

We should also be plain about what a case does. It reduces the risk of damage from the everyday contact a phone meets in a pocket, a bag or on a desk. It cannot prevent damage from a hard fall onto a hard surface, and we would not want you to rely on it as though it could.

What to avoid

Leaving the case in sustained heat, such as on a car dashboard in direct sun or on a radiator, can distort the frame. It is the one thing most likely to shorten its life.
